Bangladesh opt to bat, pick Abul Hasan for Sunzamul

Toss Bangladesh chose to bat v Sri Lanka

Bangladesh have won the toss and chosen to bat first, on what may be a tricky surface to chase on, in Mirpur.

A side strain ruled out Kusal Perera, and Danushka Gunathilaka came in to replace him at the top of the order. Seamer Nuwan Pradeep also failed to overcome a niggle, and Dushmantha Chameera took his place in the XI. Sri Lanka have retained spinners Akila Dananjaya and Lakshan Sandakan, however, which means they field four specialist bowlers again.

Bangladesh, meanwhile, have beefed up their seam attack, bringing right-arm seamer Abul Hasan into the XI in place of left-arm spinner Sunzamul Islam.

Sri Lanka can still qualify for the final if they lose this match, but cannot afford to lose by a huge margin.

Sri Lanka: 1 Danushka Gunathilaka, 2 Upul Tharanga, 3 Kusal Mendis, 4 Niroshan Dickwella (wk), 5 Dinesh Chandimal (capt.) 6 Asela Gunaratne, 7 Thisara Perera, 8 Akila Dananjaya, 9 Suranga Lakmal, 10 Lakshan Sandakan, 11 Dushmantha Chameera

Bangladesh : 1 Tamim Iqbal, 2 Anamul Haque, 3 Shakib Al Hasan, 4 Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), 5 Mahmudullah, 6 Sabbir Rahman, 7 Nasir Hossain, 8 Mashrafe Mortaza (capt.), 9 Abul Hasan, 10 Mustafizur Rahman, 11 Rubel Hossain.
